Bishop Lavis: A Call to Prayer is not just an event—it’s a turning point

The Bishop Lavis community will host a prayer service this Sunday to draw attention to the high levels of crime in the area.

The service aims to bring hope to residents who are currently experiencing a deep sense of hopelessness and despair.

Bishop Lavis Crime Prevention Forum (BLCPF) spokesperson Graham Lindhorst told VOC News that the forum has partnered with several organizations to raise awareness about the precinct’s rising crime rate.

“Most of these crimes are gang related. The Prayer Service is aimed at bringing hope to the community as presently there is a hopelessness and despair in the community,” he added.
