VOC staff and its structures will trek to Masjid u-Sabireen in Macassar on Sunday, where the first Ahlan wa Sahlan outreach for Ramadan 1435 is being held.  This is the 15th year of the outreach project and is considered an achievement for the station, which also marks its 20th Ramadan on air.  The project entails the recitation of the Quran followed by a communal iftar with the community. Impoverished residents are also given non-perishable food items, through donations from VOC listeners. The outside broadcast commences after Asr on Sunday.
