Louisa Wynand‚ the young woman who laid sexual assault charges against Western Cape ANC leader Marius Fransman‚ was allegedly offered a full bursary by the party.

“Louisa received the bursary offer from the ANC‚ just after the ANC’s integrity commission meeting‚” her spokesperson‚ Gavin Prins‚ told TMG Digital on Friday.

Earlier this week‚ it was reported that Fransman’s lawyer had said the politician would prefer to have his day in court sooner rather than later‚ to clear his name.

If you’re going to prosecute me do it quickly‚ says defiant Fransman

This comes after several cell phone messages – some of them flirtatious – from him to the young woman he allegedly sexually harassed‚ were exposed by the Daily Maverick.

Here’s what happened on WhatsApp between Fransman and his accuser

Wynand‚ who matriculated from Stellenbosch High School in 2013‚ laid a complaint against Fransman on January 6 after a road trip from Cape Town to Rustenburg to attend the ANC’s 104th birthday celebrations.

Matriculating with a Bachelor’s degree pass‚ with a distinction in English (First Additional)‚ Wynand was forced to stop her studies in language and culture at Stellenbosch University for financial reasons‚ City Press reported earlier this year.
