In just over 6 years The Muslim 500 , and its complementary website, has become the world’s premiere source for a listing of the World’s most influential Muslims. And with each edition the annual publication increases its scope and depth.

What’s in This Year’s Edition?

The publication’s Chief Editor writes his annual Introduction about the major events that have affected the Muslim world. This year’s edition also features the authoritative ‘House of Islam’ section which outlines the major schools of thought influencing the Islamic Tradition.

This year, there are twelve exclusive articles in the Guest Contributions section written by: Dr Robert Crane, Dr Caner K Dagli, Dr Osman Bakar, John Herlihy, Bruno Abd-al-Haqq Guiderdoni, Farah El-Sharif, Sami Yusuf, Faisal Kutty, Muddassar Ahmed, Maha Akeel, Shenaz Bunglawala, Dr Fauzia Ahmad, Mizan Raja and Dr Mustafa Omar.

The book also features the annual staff compilation of Issues of the Day, which briefly covers pressing contemporary issues. Readers can also expect the Major Events Timeline which lists important events that have affected Muslims over the past 12 months

This has two Appendices: Appendix I showing world and Muslim populations, and Appendix II giving a list of leading Muslim social media users, and another list showing leading users worldwide.

To give a richer visual understanding of the Muslim world, the publishers have increased the number of photographs. They have also included several calligraphy pieces throughout the book.
